So the next NASA space mission, STS-133, seems pretty routine on the surface. These astronauts are going up, into space, to "deliver and install the Permanent Multipurpose Module, the Express Logistics Carrier 4 and provide critical spare components to the International Space Station."

astronauts alvin drew and nicole stott, eric boe, steve lindsey, michael barratt and
tim kopra are going into space on november 1st
But, this routine mission (as routine as leaving the planet Earth can possibly be) has a few special parts to it.
For this mission, NASA has allowed the internet to vote for a song to be played as the "morning" wake up alarm music. I don't think this is really fair to the astronauts, it feels to me like astronauts are the most competent sorts of people available, the type of people who should be permitted to choose their OWN wake up alarm music.
However, the internet's choice vote of music pleases me greatly. The number one vote, at over 390,000 votes is the theme to Star Trek TOS. Awesome. I think I will set that as my alarm music as well. The second is Steppenwolf's "Magic Carpet Ride", which isn't bad, but I mean, come on, it's a little played out, at this point. It's creeping up on Star Trek at over 358,000 votes. I would recommend going to Nasa's voting page and help decide the fate of the astronaut's "morning" alarm.
THE OTHER THING GOING ON THIS TRIP IS R2.

the robonaut 2 can lift weights and perform other tasks
The Robonaut 2. The R2. This robot is fairly dextrous, has a torso and the ability to perform complex tasks, lift twenty pound barbells. It's got a head and hands and arms, but no legs. It can be affixed to a large arm or pedestal, though. This will help the astronauts by performing simple yet dangerous or time consuming tasks, so that the humans on board can focus on more complex endeavors.
Eventually, it will also go on spacewalks, or perhaps a future generation of droids will explore other planets and moons for us, as this NASA video titled "Project M" suggests:
